~Outdoor Christmas~

outside14A The fountain at Branson Landing, presents a light, fire, water and music show, every hour on the hour, throughout the day, until about 10 PM.  Our balcony, at the Hilton Promenade overlooks the fountain.

Move your camera, as you snap the photo, to get this fun effect.  These photos are of the lights around the fountain.

outside6A Washington, on the Missouri River

I took this photo from the Hwy 47 bridge, at Washington, Missouri.  The bridge is under repairs.  I took several photos of the river, while we waited to complete our crossing, the morning we drove to Branson.

This is my contribution for Outdoor Wednesday, at Susan’s A Southern Daydreamer.

We are going to Branson this weekend! Last March we went and then when we got home found out about Branson Landing. We never even saw it when we were there so we are excited to see it this time.

Ooh I love Branson at Christmas time. Are you going to Silver Dollar City? They always have a great light display all over the park.

Branson looks like a beautiful place, especially at Christmas! Is this the Branson, Missouri of country music fame? It is on our list of vacation destinations.

Beautiful Pat! We wondered what he condos on the square are like, but in hind sight, we prefer a little more seclusion than the landing for our get away. It;s nice to go visit occasionally though. Did you eat at that yummy chic mexican place? The name escapes me? We sat by the window and when the torches outdoors on the river lit up, we could feel the heat indoors! My goodness!

As many times as we've been to BRanson -- we've never been at Christmas. And we've stayed at Branson landing -- except at that time it was small cabins! Quite a change!

I may look at our calendar and see if we can make that trip this Christmas

Pat - Love your pictures always! I especially like the photo of Washington = our town for the last 30+ years. We're transplants from Troy, and your Main Street photo of Troy is another of my favorites. Can't wait to see the rest of your Christmas posts! Happy Holidays! Evelyn

Why, I am just stunned that Branson is this beautiful. What was I thinking? I don't know...I had NO idea it was such a magical place. Everything is just so pretty.
Now, I REALLY want to go.
Your photographs are just stunning.

Beautiful! I love the silver & blue. I've been to Branson Landing once before all of the stores were open. We used to camp on the banks of the river in the City Park, right where the Mall is now! Merry Christmas!

Branson sure does know how to decorate for the holidays. My favorite image is of the snowman in the bay window. Thanks for the tip of moving the camera when shooting Christmas Lights. Great idea! I like how the image turned out. It looks like an abstract painting. Nice job!

Hello Pat, your vacation photos are so wonderful. What a delightful way to rest up for the big holiday ahead. I want to go to Branson. We have never been there. How beautiful the decorations are. I'm glad you had such a wonderful time on your getaway.

I was gone for several days for Thanksgiving. My visits have suffered. I just looked at your Christmas tree post and I was mesmerized by the beauty of it all. Beautiful! hardly does justice for the transformation in your lovely dining room. As a decorator, you rock Pat. Come to my house please.

Happy decorating.

Hugs xoxo, Jeanne

LOVE those reindeer with the beautiful, simple wreaths!

Rhonda @ Shellbelle's Tiki Hut said...

What can I say? Wow! What a great view you had and that fountain and the reindeer are stunning.

I love that trick with moving the camera when shooting lights. They gave us that as an assignment in my photography class several years ago. It was such fun to watch them develop in the dark room and see what would appear.

Beautiful post!

Hi Pat,
What a neat area, it’s quaint and charming. The trolley looks like a nice way to get around to the local shops and restaurants! I feel like I’ve taken a mini trip. It was a welcome reprieve on this soggy, grey morning.
Ho, Ho, Ho!
