An Apple, too…
What can she be thinking!! It isn’t even Thanksgiving and Pat is posting her first table, for the 2009 Christmas season!
Last time we were at the lake, I saw the salad plates at Marshall’s. I knew they would be great with the green goblets and placemats. I found the mugs, a week later, at Home Goods, St Peters, MO.
I dug around, in our basement, for red and lime ornaments. I found the dark red (sort of maroon) ornaments in a bag from Target. That’s when I remembered buying them at the after Christmas sales. The plan was to make an ornament wreath.
Bright red ornaments might have worked better, but those are buried against a wall, behind a couple or 300 storage cartons. I decided to “make do” with these.
In an ideal world and had I not been on my semi bloggy break, I might have climbed over the cartons to retrieve the red ornaments. Imagine there are bright red ornaments, under the cake dome.
The salad plates and mugs are from Certified International. The artist is Pamela Gladding.
Stop by Susan’s Between Naps on the Porch, each Thursday, for delightfully imaginative tables all around the land of blog.
Just before leaving for our getaway, we bought a new point and shoot camera. This one is for J. I tried it out, when I photographed this tablescape.
The camera is the new Canon G11.
I will continue using my Canon Rebel Xti. The new Canon camera is a great pocket/pocketbook camera.

Belgian Waffle, with maple syrup and Lemon Poppy Seed French Toast with Mascarpone
We are still on our getaway.
Meanwhile, stop by Michael’s, Friday, for tasty treats throughout the land of blog.

Hi Pat, your table is so festive. I love all the colors. J's new camera does an awesome job. I'll have to look for one of those to carry with me. Hope you're having a ball on your getaway..
hugs ~lynne~
p.s. the waffles and bacon look delicious!!
Pat~~
Your new plates look like tole paintings. A great inspiration for all the color on the table. I had to laugh at your quest to find the red ornaments. Our storage areas could compete with each other!! The centerpiece turned out wonderful. Love the napkins tied up with ribbon, too.
Bring on those holiday tables...the sooner, the better for getting lovely ideas!

Hi Dear Pat! As far as I'm concerned, you can do what you want - everthing you do turns out so beautifully! Your table is so gorgeous and those new salad plates are so cute. I love how you've placed the Christmas ornaments under the dome in all of their apple like colorness! :)
Be a sweetie,

I would like to find me a new camera so I must go shopping!!

Have a great day.
Beautiful table!!!! The colors are so happy! I just can't face thinking of Christmas with a HUGE group coming for Thanksgiving. But, I am sure that afternoon after the food is put away I will be biting at the bit to start Ho Ho Ho.
Thanks for the tip on the Canon Rebel xti. I bought the Sonny SLR in October & I LOVE it BUT it is WAY TOO BIG & BULKY for my purse. Will check this little jewel out. Thanks again for sharing it all.

Hi, Pat -
I love the simple beauty of your table. It's so festive and yet it let's each piece shine on it's own. Thanks for sharing - again, you've inspired me to dig into my decorations and see what I can do different this year.
~Adrienne~
Pat-This table was meant to be! I can see why you couldn't resist the salad plates. I love all the colors together. As I've said before, a good camera may help, but I am sure the subject matter and the person behind the camera matter the most! Great photos!
what an influence...now you've got me heading to Home Goods, Target and Marshalls this weekend!!! TFS
Pat, this is a very festive table, and I like those dishes... they are neat. The thing I like best about them is that they are so unique. So your table is, too.
You always come up with such intriguing things, Pat,(love how you have vision... it's a gift), and you set such a beautiful table! This one is no exception. Love it!
XO,
Sheila :-)
What a wonderful Christmas setting! I love those plates. They look great with the transferware too.

I love your table! Have fun on your getaway:)
I love the ornaments under the cake dome. How cute and did you know Homegoods is looking for bloggers?? Have a fun getaway. The weather here today is blah.
Stunning! So cheery and vibrant. Haha - you're not alone with all the storage bins. Have a nice day.
Love those plates Pat ~ they remind me of Dutch Folk Art - so pretty & festive! I love the look of this pretty table setting. Very warm and inviting.
Pat,
Your table is simple and elegant. I love the ornaments with the dishes. Very, very lovely.
I am glad you are having a good vacation.
Carol
Hi Pat,
Just so gorgeous! I just really like the use of lime green and the china is so fab! So serene, elegant and tasteful! Bravo! Cindy
What a pretty table - really like those dishes. I am not much of a breakfast eater, but that looks good.
Oh my Pat...would it bother you to have our entire family of seven show up your door?? Would it....???
Like maybe tomorrow?
Pat-- I have been sooooo resisting that color of green for Christmas, but you have managed to make it look really great. I think all of the black really grounds it. Once again, you have that magic touch. Sally
Pat, those plates are so pretty. I love all of the vibrant colors on your table. Such a unique Christmas look. I love it! The Belgian waffle looks pretty good too! Hope you're having a wonderful trip. laurie
I love the plates and the green placemats. I saw those at Home Goods in St. Peters but decided to get another pattern to use on my small table. I am using black dinner plates and then just the cute salad ones on top. Layering different ones is so much fun.
I stopped in All About Home today for a few additions while she was having her 40% off sale. Well, you know how a few turns into a lot at that darling store. An hour later I was home with several goodies. She has some unique lime green things that would really go with your table setting!!!
Have a safe trip home.
Charla
I love the handpainted plates!! Your photos are groovy!
OMG Pat,
Is that a pretty table!!
You are the master!!
Enjoy the rest of your week,
Rosemary
All the bright colors are very refreshing as well as beautiful...
Hi Pat, Hope you are having a wonderful get-away. I love your table. The ornaments on the plates look great with the ornaments in the centerpiece! Captivating and so well put together!
Yvonne
Beautiful, beautiful table! I agree with Blondie...your dishes remind me of Dutch German tole paintings. Very folk art-ish & also VERY cute!!
I wish I knew how to make part of a photo black & white & part of it show up in color, like you did in the first shot. That is soooo cool!
Thanks for sharing all your pretties & ideas on how to use them.
fondly,
Rettabug
Great plates! Love the colors.

Morning girl!!!! What a beautifl table and those plates are adorable! Love those ornaments under the pretty glass dome..I gotta hurry up and find my cloches...but I could use one of my big cake plates and dome for that idea!
Hope you are having a great week dear friend and that you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving...love ya girl! ~Picket~
Just gorgeous, I love the black, it is so elegant and dramatic with the "regular" Christmas colors.
Oh, Pat, what a lovely table. I love the black and bright green together. A little unexpected, but nevertheless gorgeous! Thanks for sharing and happy TT to you!
I love the red and lime green colors. I'm ready for some Christmas tablescapes and yours is very festive and pretty.
J's new camera did a great job. I need to look in to a small camera to carry around because I always see things I'd like to take pics of when I'm out, but I rarely bring the big camera along.
Great looking table setting, and the Canons always do a fabulous job of photographing. I use a Rebel as well as one of their pocket point and shoots too. Love both of them!

Pat, Pat, Pat!!!! You are the bestest around! I just LOVE this tablescape and the wonderful bright color of green you used! The new dishes are just awesome, too!
Our snow didn't last long on Tues. a.m.....I was glad of that. It didn't really stick to the roads, but, for some reason, there were several accidents during rush hour. So glad to know that your girl lives near by! Maybe one day you and I will get to meet!
Have a wonderful day! I'm actually putting Christmas greenery on our mantel! ho, ho, ho!
L, Dana
