~Plum, Pomegranate, & Pear~

An Apple, too…

christmas11A What can she be thinking!!  It isn’t even Thanksgiving and Pat is posting her first table, for the 2009 Christmas season!

Last time we were at the lake, I saw the salad plates at Marshall’s.  I knew they would be great with the green goblets and placemats.  I found the mugs, a week later, at Home Goods, St Peters, MO.

I dug around, in our basement, for red and lime ornaments.  I found the dark red (sort of maroon) ornaments in a bag from Target.  That’s when I remembered buying them at the after Christmas sales.  The plan was to make an ornament wreath.

Bright red ornaments might have worked better, but those are buried against a wall, behind a couple or 300 storage cartons.  I decided to “make do” with these.

In an ideal world and had I not been on my semi bloggy break, I might have climbed over the cartons to retrieve the red ornaments.  Imagine there are bright red ornaments, under the cake dome.

The salad plates and mugs are from Certified International. The artist is Pamela Gladding.

Just before leaving for our getaway, we bought a new point and shoot camera.  This one is for J.  I tried it out, when I photographed this tablescape.

The camera is the new Canon G11.

I will continue using my Canon Rebel Xti.  The new Canon camera is a great pocket/pocketbook camera.

Your new plates look like tole paintings. A great inspiration for all the color on the table. I had to laugh at your quest to find the red ornaments. Our storage areas could compete with each other!! The centerpiece turned out wonderful. Love the napkins tied up with ribbon, too.

Bring on those holiday tables...the sooner, the better for getting lovely ideas!

Beautiful table!!!! The colors are so happy! I just can't face thinking of Christmas with a HUGE group coming for Thanksgiving. But, I am sure that afternoon after the food is put away I will be biting at the bit to start Ho Ho Ho.

Thanks for the tip on the Canon Rebel xti. I bought the Sonny SLR in October & I LOVE it BUT it is WAY TOO BIG & BULKY for my purse. Will check this little jewel out. Thanks again for sharing it all.

Pat-This table was meant to be! I can see why you couldn't resist the salad plates. I love all the colors together. As I've said before, a good camera may help, but I am sure the subject matter and the person behind the camera matter the most! Great photos!

I love the plates and the green placemats. I saw those at Home Goods in St. Peters but decided to get another pattern to use on my small table. I am using black dinner plates and then just the cute salad ones on top. Layering different ones is so much fun.

I stopped in All About Home today for a few additions while she was having her 40% off sale. Well, you know how a few turns into a lot at that darling store. An hour later I was home with several goodies. She has some unique lime green things that would really go with your table setting!!!

Have a safe trip home.

I love the red and lime green colors. I'm ready for some Christmas tablescapes and yours is very festive and pretty.

J's new camera did a great job. I need to look in to a small camera to carry around because I always see things I'd like to take pics of when I'm out, but I rarely bring the big camera along.

Our snow didn't last long on Tues. a.m.....I was glad of that. It didn't really stick to the roads, but, for some reason, there were several accidents during rush hour. So glad to know that your girl lives near by! Maybe one day you and I will get to meet!

Have a wonderful day! I'm actually putting Christmas greenery on our mantel! ho, ho, ho!
